What Your Florida Driving Record Will Contain

Since your driving record is a reflection of your personal driving history it will include all traffic infractions you may have received, any points added to your record, and any restrictions, accidents, suspensions you may have had.

Please review your Three-year or Seven-year Florida Driving Record for the following information:

  • Driver license/identification card issuances, any traffic school and driving exams you have passed, driver education.
  • Guilty convictions for traffic violations, within 3 or 7 years of the conviction date.
  • Crash entries, within 3 or 7 years of the crash date, when a traffic citation was issued as a direct result of the accident.
  • All open suspensions, revocations, cancellations, disqualifications of the driving privilege.
  • Suspensions, revocations, cancellations, and disqualifications cleared within 3 or 7 years of the request date, unless retention is met and entry has been purged. Also D-6 suspensions once cleared are transferred to correspondence entries and would not appear on 3 or 7-year records. However, if a conviction for driving while license cancelled, revoked or suspended is on the record, D-6 suspensions will not transfer to correspondence. Also, on records of CDL drivers D-6s will not transfer to correspondence.
  • Correspondence indicating license issued by another state.

What you won't see on your Florida Driving Record is your name. That's because as required by state and federal laws, your name will not appear on your record. Instead, the only identifying information you will see is you driver license number.
